Suzuka Yamaguchi of LPGA Tour Signs with Yonex

22 January 2019

LPGA Tour athlete, Suzuka Yamaguchi (18) has signed an exclusive equipment contract with Yonex Co., Ltd.

In 2015, when she was just 14 years old, Yamaguchi was the youngest player ever to join the U.S. Women’s Open. In 2018, she finished in 36thplace in the “Q Series,” securing her position on the LPGA tour, where she will compete this season.

“Yonex has supported me since I was in elementary school, and now that I’ve turned pro, I feel that I want to show my gratitude and decided on a contract with them. From here I want to focus on my big goal of becoming Number One in the world,” Yamaguchi said.

She will play with graphite REXIS KAIZA shafts for her EZONE GT Driver and Fairway Woods, made at the Yonex Niigata manufacturing Headquarters, and will use EZONE CB 501 with G-BRID structure for her irons. Yonex will continue to strive for the development of golf clubs and shafts that will respond to the needs of top professionals and fully support its contract players.
