Wimbledon 2018: Angelique Kerber moves into the final four!

London — At the Championships, Wimbledon, former World No. 1 Angelique Kerber (GER) advanced to the on Tuesday with a thrilling win against the 14th seed Daria Kasatkina (RUS).

11th-seeded Kerber, who is now the highest seeded player in the remaining top four, fought through seven match points to wrest an epic second set out of Kasatkina’s grasp and won 6-3, 7-5. She advances to the semi-finals for the second time in three years, where she will meet 2017 French Open Champion Jelena Ostapenko (LAT).

In women’s doubles, five of the 16 players in the quarterfinals are Team Yonex. Timea Babos (HUN) was already the number one seed, and as of this week’s rankings, she is the World No. 1 in women’s doubles.
